As a Data Specialist at Statwax, you will be the first stop for all our internal and client data needs. You will have the chance to use Excel and other data analysis tools to gather, analyze, and find trends and insights in client data. This is a learning and growing role, and we will provide training and learning opportunities to you every step of the way. What you’ll get to do:

  • Learn about building end-to-end automated analytic solutions that are intuitive, simple to maintain, and drive real outcomes
  • Assist with building reports and presentations that are concise, simple and convincing to translate technical analyses into practical insights and recommendations
  • Conducts exploratory data analysis for visualizations
  • Learn about building systems to ensure operational data quality and integrity
  • Assist others in working with cross-functional internal teams to define data problems and opportunities and design analytical solutions 
  • Learn how to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations
  • Learn to translate ambiguous business requirements into analytical insights
  • Learn how to ask the right questions to ensure the final product you deliver solves the need or problem being addressed
  • Learn about datasets of all sizes for data mining, predictive modeling, and research purposes for internal service teams and client teams
  • Learn about tools that enable internal service teams and client teams to understand data innovation insights and recommendations
  • Learn how to balance technical depth with good communication skills
  • Develop critical thinking and problem solving skills to produce creative ideas and solutions to real-time business problems and/or business opportunities and take reasonable, calculated risks even if failure is possible


Skills you have:

  • A data and analytical mindset 
  • Ability to analyze and mine large data sets and provide recommendations and insights to account teams
  • Attention to detail, in order to detect errors, anomalies, and patterns in data
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel, including use of pivot tables, V and H lookups, and custom formulas
  • Use of research and analytical tools to properly pull, structure, and optimize client data for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Interest in how digital marketing campaign data collection is set up, retrieved, and analyzed, specifically through tracking and analytics
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and previous touchpoints with pulling reports, creating views, and setting up filters
  • An eagerness to learn about digital marketing data and its implications for successful campaigns
  • Proactive collaboration with teams to determine priority of client data projects, and suggest new data projects
  • Able to work independently and exhibit flexibility and tolerance for ambiguity
  • Nice to have skills: Familiarity with Google Tag Manager, CRM systems, Advance Excel and/or Google Data Studio
